Hedge it with options — what would the insurance have cost?

Pro preview — 2 free runs a day

Protective puts, covered calls, collars and the wheel — tested over real history so you can see what crash insurance actually costs, and what selling options actually pays. Option prices are modeled (Black-Scholes on measured volatility) and every assumption is disclosed below the results.

Why you can trust the numbers

  • Prices are split- and dividend-adjusted — "buy & hold" reflects the real total return.
  • Signals are read at each day's close; trades fill at the next day's open. No cheating with prices you couldn't have known.
  • Every share trade pays a 0.05% cost; every option trade pays 1% of premium. Churn gets punished, like in real life.
  • Buy & hold is always shown. When your idea loses, we say so. Most do.
  • Option prices are modeled (Black-Scholes on measured volatility, marked up 1.10×), because decades of real option quotes cost thousands — the model and its limits are disclosed on every result.
  • One stock, fully in or out, taxes ignored. The past is not the future — this is a learning tool, not financial advice.
